1. What Vitalé is
Vitalé lets a family create a private care registry of practical items and lets people they share it with contribute money toward those specific items. When an item is fully funded, Vitalé's operations team purchases it and ships it to the family. Vitalé is a registry and fulfillment service — it is not a bank, a charity, a crowdfunding cash platform, or a healthcare provider, and it does not provide medical advice.
2. Contributions are gifts — not tax-deductible
Contributions are personal gifts toward a specific registry item. They are not tax-deductible charitable donations, and Vitalé is not a tax-exempt organization. Contributions are not investments, deposits, or loans, and they do not create a cash balance anyone can withdraw.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted checkout pages. Vitalé never receives or stores card details. Contribution issues are handled under our Refund Policy — refunds are reviewed by our team case by case and are not automatic.
4. No benefits or insurance guidance
Vitalé does not provide advice about government benefits or insurance programs of any kind, and nothing on Vitalé should be read as a promise about how a gift may affect anyone's eligibility for any program. If this matters to your family, please talk to a qualified professional. (Further language on this topic is intentionally withheld pending legal review.)
5. If a recipient passes away
Placeholder — pending legal review: if a registry recipient passes away before an item is fully funded or shipped, our support team pauses the registry and handles remaining contributions case by case through our refund review process, in contact with the family. Final policy language will be added here once reviewed by counsel.
6. Acceptable use, reports, and takedowns
Registries must be created for a real person's genuine practical needs, by someone with a legitimate connection to them. Anyone can report a registry page they believe is fraudulent, impersonating, or otherwise inappropriate; our team reviews reports and may hide a page while investigating. Hiding a page does not delete gift or payment records.
7. Accounts and contact
